Sweet Retreat

This is one of the most popular wedding color combination for the last couple of years now, but I don't ever get tired of making it... Pink and Chocolate Brown, there's just something about it that works! The bride and groom requested to have a combination of half vanilla and half chocolate cupcakes. The vanilla ones have a soft pink vanilla flavored buttercream icing, decorated with a few chocolate brown fondant daisies. The chocolate ones are iced with milk chocolate ganache icing, decorated with a few soft pink fondant daisies. The top cake is a vanilla 8" cake, with both vanilla filling and icing. In order to perfectly match the cupcakes and wedding colors we rolled on a layer of the pink fondant icing and added a thick satin ribbon and a few pink daisies to the bottom of the cake. The cake table was decorated with a big "I DO" and pink votive candles, it looked so good! The couple had their reception at a hall in Burnaby BC, just outside of Deer Lake Park.
