Sweet Retreat

This couple didn't skimp out on any detail! They went with an elegant custom rental wedding cake, it is a four tier, round cake. The top cake for the cutting ceremony is a vanilla cake with a vanilla filling center and the whole cake was iced with cream colored fondant icing and a thick chocolate brown satin ribbon and a pearl piped detail to finish.  The bride had some pink flowers waiting to be placed on top of the cake when I arrived to set up it up. So beautiful! Instead of going with the usual slab cake to serve to their guests we made a six tier platter of cupcakes to be placed on the dessert table as soon as the cake was cut.  I set up all the cupcakes ahead of time and the lovely staff at Redwoods Golf Course in Langley BC were more than happy to place them on the table when it was time.  The cupcakes were also made to match the couples color scheme, cream/pink and chocolate brown.
