Two Toned Chocolate Fondant Wedding Cake & Cupcakes

A gift for a sweet couple! Stephanie and Travis got married on July 4th 2009 at The Horizon's Restaurant in Burnaby BC, such an amazing view! They decided on a rental wedding cake with the top tier being real so they could get all the prime pictures. The cake is six tiers tall (big) and alternated a milk chocolate and dark chocolate fondant. All the tiers have a diamond and dot detailed pattern along with a champagne colored satin ribbon. Steph suppled some beautiful white orchids that completed the look. The top cutting cake is a vanilla cake with a ganache filling and underneath the chocolate fondant icing is a thin layer of buttercream. To serve to thier guests I made 150 tastey dessert styled cupcakes, in mocha, cappucino, vanilla and ganache flavors which were displayed on a white stand.
